“Pata hai.. Yaha se bohot door…… Galat aur sahi ke paar……Ek maidan hai……Main waha milunga tujhe”

Rockstar is all about to pain and heartbreak, but before heartbrake you need to be in love that’s the theme line. Imtiaz Ali knows the perfact imperative way to show how to fall in love.

Ranbir kapoor is the Jim Morrison of the movie (he want to be like Jim Morrison) , Janaradhan Jakhar of college. Heer (Nargis Fakhri) gives him a name “Jordan” mixture of cool and hot. Janaradhan and Heer both enjoy there life and use to fullfill all there bucket list (crazyness, deewanapan) and after some time the heer is married off to some NRI , after this Janardhan also faces some home social drama and forced to leave the home.

The Music is flawless A R Rehman is always best in his work. All the songs are in accordance to the situation. My favorite one is “Nadaan Parindey and Tum Ko” both the songs plays the vital role in movie and when you watch the movie you will get to know why these tracks are my favorite. Cinematography is well handled . What Doesn’t work for Rockstar is the complex story line, suffer from second half syndrome, heavy use of flash back.

Will give 4/5 Imtiaz Ali had done a great work and for obvious Ranbir Kapoor is the real Rockstar of the movie, he really gets into the skin of his character. Just fadu acting by Ranbir Kapoor. Nargis Fakhri on the other hand is good, beautiful, sweet to watch but used as a show piece in the movie. And Pleasing to see Shammi Kapoor in his last decent cameo. We all miss Shammi Kapoor and also thanks to Imtiaz Ali for “Wo chand sa roushan chehra”.

Atlast will like to  share a 2 lines form my favorite tracks “Nadaan Parindey and Tum Ko”

“Kyun desh videsh phire maara …Tu raat beraat ka banjaara…..Oh nadaan parindey…Ghar aaja..”

“Tum ho..Tabhi toh..Kahin bhi..Ab naa dhoondna mujhe…Main har jagah….Miloongi ab tujhe”
